Steel strapping is the strongest material for heavy applications. The most common options are regular duty and high tensile steel strapping. The main advantage of metal strapping is its ability to retain the shape of the package as it is very shock resistant.

Steel (metal) strapping is unaffected by temperature changes. Metal banding is applied with hand, battery, and pneumatic tools.
